Administrator Briefing

Two factors are very important to the success of any special event:

  • The president, executive officers, dean, college development officer, department chair and other key participants have been adequately briefed about the order of program and the guests who will be attending.
  • Adequate staff is available to handle guest relations effectively.

Executive Briefing

Two days prior to the event, provide the following details to the executive assistant to the president, appropriate executive officers, deans, chairs and advisory board members so that they can be better prepared:

  • Biographical information on the guests who will be attending (particularly those with whom they will be seated)
  • Names and seating assignments of special guests who should be formally recognized
  • A script or program for the event; staff attending; and other pertinent information.
